Don't Go Breaking My Heart - Lip Sync/Evaluation

Arsena and Leon lip synced Elton Johns Don't Go Breaking My Heart. Naomi and I directed the short extract. As a group we edited the video. We achieved perfect synchronization between the sound and picture by layering the editing. We included mid shot, close ups of both the male (Leon) and female (Arsena) singer. We forgot to include a low shot and high shot so we should remember to include these in our music video.

Album Art Exercise

Today I played around with photoshop to make an album cover. I randomly selected a band name; Confusion and the random song name; Try Going to Sleep. I did this to practise how to use photoshop for when we create a Digipack. I changed the original colours of the background and added different fonts. I then cropped he image to represent the real ratio of the album.

Sonny & Cher

Today we undertook a lip syncing task whereby we were asked to lip sync the songs and how to edit the footage to the lyrics of the song. We used different camera shots such as close up, mid shot, long shot etc. We used a variety of body language which suited the song and made the video seem more upbeat. This displays how body language could change the way the video is portrayed. We practiced how to lip sync and how to edit in a more professional manner, eg. editing to the beat using markers,  for our music video. We successfully managed to match our lip movements to the song lyrics by editing through Premier Pro. In addition we learnt how to use different effects and filters.

For my A2 media studies coursework I will be working with Naomi and Arsena.

Naomi is hard working, her strength is filming and acting. She enjoys RnB music. Her favourite singer is Chris Brown. She also enjoys slow songs such Partynextdoor

Arsena is very patriotic and photogenic. She enjoys Albanian music especially artitst such as; Noizy, Elvana Gjata, Dhurata Dora and Enca.

The Brief

My partners and I produce a promotional music video for an upcoming artist/band. This music video will last up too minutes. 

We will also produce; 

 A ‘digipak’ (Six panels) for its release on CD

 A magazine advertisement for the digipak

This is my A2 media studies blog. I will be making a promotional package for a new artist/band including a music video. I am going to chart my progress as I research, plan, contrast and evaluate. I am really excited for for you to accompany me on my musical A2 journey.
